The installation process of weather strips

• Measure the gaps: Before you start, measure the gaps around the doors and windows where you want to install weather strips. You'll need to know the width and height of the gaps so that you can buy the right size weather strips.
• Choose the right type of sliding window weather stripping: There are several types of weather strips available, such as foam, felt, V-strip, and door sweeps. Choose the type that is suitable for the gap you want to seal.
• Clean the surfaces: Clean the surfaces around the gaps with soap and water to remove any dirt or debris. Let them dry completely before you install the weather strips.
• Cut the weather strips: Use a pair of scissors or a utility knife to cut the weather strips to the appropriate length for each gap.
• Install the weather strips: Peel off the adhesive backing from the weather strips and stick them into place. Make sure that the weather strips are firmly pressed against the surfaces around the gaps. For door sweeps, attach them to the bottom of the door with screws or adhesive.
• Close the doors and windows and check for any gaps or drafts. If you still feel any air leaks, adjust the weather strips accordingly.
